Personal Training & Massage Therapy
In addition to our Wushu classes, we also offer the more specialised services of Personal Training and Therapeutic Massage.
Personal Training sessions can be tailored to whatever you would like to be working on. They can be based on martial arts tuition, or strength training including weightlifting and bodyweight exercises, cardiovascular conditioning, coordination and skills development, flexibility, mobility, stability, postural work and rehabilitation, or body-awareness and meditative practices.
We are a body-positive organisation, so we will not weigh you, nor will we ask you to adopt any restrictive or severe diets - instead we will teach you about exercise.
Massage Therapy is an excellent adjunct to your training. It can help the body to recover and to heal, and it can help to improve joint and tissue health, body awareness, and range of motion. Chris incorporates techniques from Chinese Massage (Tui Na), Japanese Shiatsu and Deep Tissue Therapy to offer a well-rounded and comprehensive therapeutic massage service.
Personal Training and massage can of course both be combined into the same session, as appropriate to the individual. Depending on your location, Chris may come to your home or workplace, or you can meet him at SweatClub in Middle Park. Appointments start at $80. Please contact us for further details.
